Thursday Wrestling TV

WWE Superstars

Your Raw-brand hosts are Scott Stanford & Josh Mathews.

Santino Marella vs. Zack Ryder:  They trade overblown celebrations to start...I hear an Italian accent from our official and make it a point to note the presence of Guido "Nunzio" Maritado as our referee.  Ryder manages a run of offense, but misses the facewash kick in the corner and Santino finishes him off with the Cobra.

Replay of the Macho Man Randy Savage tribute video...oh yeah.

J.T.G. vs. Curt Hawkins:  J is all "what heel turn?" and everyone else is all "NXT is still on?"...okay then.  Fine competitive matchup...Hawkins lures J.T.G. into a throatsnap off the top rope to set up the Heatseeker Elbow(which we should just officially rename the Macho Elbow at this point).

Recap of the vehicular assault on The Big Show from Raw.  My main thought during that segment?  "It's gonna kill the battery for Ricardo to leave the headlights on like that..."

Your Smackdown-brand hosts are Jack Korpela & Matt Striker.

Trent Baretta vs. Tyson Kidd(w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada):  ...wait, what?  Kidd's going through the unemployed managers like crazy nowadays.  Armando is unusually reserved...right up until he provides a distraction at a key moment, allowing Kidd to dropkick Baretta off the turnbuckles to the floor.  Estrada stomps Trent on the floor, then Tyson adds a swinging neckbreaker on the concrete(ouch).  Baretta fights out of a back suplex attempt off the top rope, landing on top of Kidd for a CLOSE near-fall.  Springboard dropkick gets another near-fall.  Gobstopper Knee is blocked and Kidd attempts the Sharpshooter but Trent victory-rolls him...for two.  Kidd cuts him off and dumps him face-first on the top turnbuckle, but Trent backflips out of a German suplex attempt and nails the Gobstopper Knee...for two!  Tyson rolls out to the floor to regroup, then cuts off a dive attempt with a jumping kick.  Kidd to the third floor...our second Macho Elbow of the night connects, but this one only gets a two-count!

Kidd quickly gets the legs and locks on the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring...it looks like it's all over but Baretta gets to the ropes out of desperation!  Trent slumps on the bottom rope and Kidd attempts an inside-out slingshot legdrop...nobody home!  Kidd re-enters with a sunset flip and Trent rolls through into his own rollup...for two!  Tyson spinkicks Trent in the gut, then nails the fisherman neckbreaker out of nowhere...that finally keeps Baretta down for three.  Armando gloats about the win...good for him.
