WWE Smackdown

Trainwreck interview to start with the same players as a few weeks ago...even General Manager Theodore Long notes that the situation seems familiar.  Long story short, the main event is Christian Cage vs. Sheamus O'Shaunessy vs. Mark Henry with the winner facing Randy Orton for the World Title next week.

Sin Cara vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.:  PPV rematch here.  After being held in check by Jerry Lawler's presence on Raw, Michael Cole seems to be back to his usual abrasive form.  Hello, mute button.  Anywho, fine matchup...Cara wins after a variation of La Mistica which foregoes the Fujiwara armbar hold in favor of a bulldog-ish landing.

Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes(w/ baggers):  Nice formula we have going here...good wrestler + good wrestler = good wrestling match.  Rhodes appears set to finish with the Crossrhodes but Bryan counters to take him down into the LeBell Lock and Cody taps out FAST.  Rhodes decides to win the war via post-match attack...plus a bagging.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Heath Slater:  Heath gets in his shots, Zeke overpowers him, torture rack...Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel run in for the DQ, but Jackson fights them off.

Kane vs. The Great Khali(w/ Runjin Singh):  This is hyped as a "Monster's Brawl"...OMG THEY ALMOST ACKNOWLEDGED TNA RUN IN PH33R~!  This is about as good as you'd expect...yeah.  Kane wins after a flying clothesline off the top rope...WOO~!  Jinder Mahal shows up to yell at Khali and slap him...Singh speaks up for his brother, but Khali turns on him and grabs him in the pineapple squeeze!  Ladies and gentlemen, we have a heel turn.

Kaitlyn Bonin & A.J. Lee(w/ Natalya Neidhart) vs. Alicia Fox & Tamina Snuka:  Okay, a lot on the scorecard here.  Nattie seems to be in a position to mentor the newbie divas, including the returning A.J. who is making her Smackdown debut...WOO~!  On the other side, Tamina seems to have returned to the dark side since her split with Santino.  Fairly short matchup...Alicia gets the pin on Kaitlyn after the axe kick(a move that commentator Booker T appreciates).

Christian Cage vs. Sheamus O'Shaunessy vs. Mark Henry, no-DQ match:  World Champion Randy Orton joins the party for a ringside seat during the matchup...Christian nearly wins with the Killswitch on Sheamus but Henry pulls Christian out of the ring.  Later, Christian falls victim to the World's Strongest Slam only for Sheamus to break up HENRY'S pinfall attempt.  Henry randomly shoves Orton at ringside, causing Randy to jump in the ring and deliver an RKO!  The referee devotes his full attention to getting Orton out of the ring, totally missing Christian's pin attempt on Sheamus after a spear.  Christian bugs the ref about this...then walks right into a pump kick from Sheamus that gives the ex-king the victory.
