-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Corey Graves.
-Finn Bálor kicked off the show in his first appearance since losing the NXT Title to Samoa Joe...he was interrupted by, of all people, Elias Samson.  Samson tried to serenade Bálor's title loss, but Bálor dropped him with a Pele Kick...as Samson retreated from the ring, Bálor chucked his guitar at him(though Samson made a nice catch).
-Backstage last week:  Cathy Kelley interviewed Eric Young about his arrival in NXT.  Young said that the best wrestlers in the world are in NXT and he's there to prove that he belongs with the best.
-Backstage:  Cathy caught up to Bálor...he'll give his message to Samoa Joe after he's finished with Samson tonight.
-Tag Team Champions American Alpha(Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) d. John Skyler & Corey Hollis(non-title) when Gable pinned Hollis with the Grand Amplitude(Jordan belly-to-back throw into Gable bridging back suplex) (5:10).  The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) came out to watch the match, but the champs weren't distracted for long and picked up the win.
-Backstage:  Cathy interviewed Shinsuke Nakamura, who didn't think much of Alex Riley's promise to "rage"...
-Shinsuke Nakamura d. Alex Riley with the Kinshasa(flying knee strike) (2:41).
-Backstage in General Manager S. William Regal's office:  Regal met with Austin Aries, who said he didn't want to be just another guy on the roster.  They were interrupted by Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy pleading their case for another shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles...Aries was upset that Alexa Bliss wasn't with them, but she wasn't far behind them.  Regal decided that Blake & Murphy would face Aries and a partner of his choosing on next week's show...Aries felt like he didn't need a tag team partner, but he did have someone in mind.
-Alexa Bliss d. Rachael Ellering with the Sparkle Splash(twisting top-rope splash) (3:52).  Rachael is the daughter of former manager Paul Ellering.
-Backstage:  Cathy interviewed Bayley Rose about when she'll get her rematch for the NXT Women's Title against Asuka Urai.  However, she was interrupted by Nia Jax who said that her mistakes made her stronger, but Bayley's loss seemed to weaken her.  Bayley reminded her about who won their previous encounter...Nia said that wouldn't happen again.
-Finn Bálor d. Eilas Samson with the 1916(elevated DDT/brainbuster, formerly the Bloody Sunday) (4:04 aired).  After the match, Bálor declared his desire for a title rematch...and that brought out NXT Champion Samoa Joe for a confrontation.  Regal announced that the rematch would take place at the next Takeover special on June 8th.  Joe objected to facing Bálor again and Finn dove onto him with a huge somersault plancha.
