WWE NXT

-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Corey Graves.
-General Manager S. William Regal opened the show from his office.  Bayley Rose is not cleared to compete at Takeover due to the injuries suffered in last week's match with Nia Jax.  Therefore, tonight's main event will determine who will challenge Asuka Urai for the NXT Women's Title at that special.
-Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano d. TM-61(Nick Miller & Shane Thorne)(aka Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste of The Mighty Don't Kneel); Gargano pinned Thorne after a close-range superkick while Ciampa delivered a running knee strike to the back of Thorne's head (9:21 aired).
-Backstage:  Cathy Kelley interviewed Bayley Rose; she's upset about being on the sidelines and Nia Jax stopped by the interview area to gloat about "breaking" her.  Carmella Van Damme stood up for her friend, but Alexa Bliss heard her name dropped and paid a visit as well.
-Coming soon(finally!):  Andrade "Cien" Almas.
-Austin Aries said that he made an impact by debuting in NXT, but timing is everything and other people have been grabbing all the attention.  He wants a piece of whoever holds the NXT Title after Takeover, whether it be champion Samoa Joe or top contender Finn Bálor...but Shinsuke Nakamura showed up to voice his own aspirations for the gold.  Enter Regal to make that match for Takeover...woo.
-Backstage:  Cathy interviewed NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha(Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) about their Takeover rematch with The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder).
-"No Way" Jose Valenzuela d. Jonathan Ortagun after the cobra clutch slam (3:21).
-Backstage:  Cathy Kelly interviewed NXT Women's Champion Asuka Urai about the main event...she said no matter who wins, she will defeat them.
-Next week:  Corey Graves conducts a sitdown interview with Joe and Bálor.  Also, Austin Aries faces Elias Samson.
-Nia Jax won a triple threat match with Alexa Bliss and Carmella Van Damme when she pinned Carmella after the Legdrop O' Doom (8:48 aired).  Afterwards, NXT Women's Champion Asuka Urai made her entrance to confront her next challenger.
