-Drew McIntyre d. Sean Maluta with the Claymore(flying boot) (3:22).  After the match, Drew was interviewed about his recent backstage confrontation with Wesley Blake.
-Last week:  After the show went off the air, a beaten Roderick Strong was gang-attacked by Sanity(Eric Young, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe, & Nikki Cross).  General Manager S. William Regal checked on him backstage after the incident and Strong simply issued a challenge to Sanity for Takeover.
-Outside:  Eric Young(w/ Dain, Wolfe, & Cross) accepted Strong's challenge and said that he must really want someone to take away his happy family life...
-Coming soon:  "The Velveteen Dream" Patrick Clark.
-Earlier today:  NXT Women's Champion Asuka Urai was interviewed about her Takeover Chicago title defense against Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross. ..but she didn't seem interested in answering any questions.  She put on a happy face for the fans as she got out of her vehicle, but looked annoyed as she walked away.
-Sonya Deville d. Lacey Evans after the enzuigiri (3:03).
-Kassius Ohno d. Andrade "Cien" Almas after two rolling elbows (9:22 aired).
-NXT Champion "The Glorious" Bobby Roode addressed the fans to cap off the show...Hideo Itami gave him a "cheapshot" in his grand return, but he planned on embarrassing him at Takeover.  Roode brought up Itami's family and that prompted Itami to make his way to the ring...Regal brought out security in an attempt to maintain order, but Itami charged through to attack Roode.  Itami beat up the security guards and laid out two of them with Go 2 Sleeps.  Roode attacked Itami from behind when he turned his attention to a third guard, but Itami quickly turned the tide and hit the Go 2 Sleep on the champion!
