WWE NXT

-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Corey Graves.
-Alexa Bliss d. Carmella Van Damme with the Twisted Bliss(twisting top-rope splash) (8:24 aired).
-Earlier today:  Shinsuke Nakamura talked about knowing Finn Bálor for a long time...they know each other's families and are friends.  As he previously said, Finn became an icon in NXT and if he wants to be the NXT Champion, he has to defeat "icons".  When they face each other, it will be "sensational"...
-Backstage:  Cathy Kelley interviewed Bayley Rose about her return to action.  Alexa interrupted, saying that Bayley doesn't deserve a rematch; SHE should get a title shot since she wasn't pinned in the triple threat contenders' match and she just beat Carmella.
-Andrade Almas d. Noah Potjes after the double-kneesmash with Noah slumped in the corner (2:53).
-Backstage:  Andrea DeMarco interviewed Austin Aries about his attack on "No Way" Jose Valenzuela; he felt like the fans should have rolled out the red carpet for him, but Jose won over the fans with (in his mind) little effort.  Now, he's looking out for number one...
-Earlier today:  Finn Bálor talked about traveling to Japan and how Nakamura was one of the first people who helped him adapt to the wrestling scene.  He said he considers Nakamura a friend, but a lot has changed since they last crossed paths in the ring...
-Next week:  Bayley vs. Alexa.
-Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano d. The Hype Bros(Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley); Ciampa pinned Ryder after a close-range superkick by Gargano while Ciampa delivered a running knee strike to the back of Ryder's head (7:34 aired).
-After the match, Gargano said that they beat The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) not too long ago and they deserve a shot at the new NXT Tag Team Champions...but that brought out American Alpha(Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) with a difference of opinion.  Dawson & Wilder made their entrance, saying their called the shots...but General Manager S. William Regal said that he's the one in charge.  Ciampa & Gargano are in line for a title shot, but the Tag Title rematch comes first...it'll happen next week and it'll be best-of-three-falls.  As Ciampa & Gargano left the ring, The Authors Of Pain(Sunny Dhinsa & Gzim Selmani) attacked Jordan & Gable from behind...they fought off Ciampa & Gargano when they tried to help, giving Jordan the opening for a huge overhead suplex on Dhinsa!  However, Selmani mowed down Jordan with a clothesline, then the Authors laid out Jordan and Gable with their Russian legsweep/lariat combo.  Manager Paul Ellering walked out to observe the carnage of his new team...
