Midweek wrestling

TNA XPlosion

Commentators:  Jeremy Borash & Pat Kenney.

A.J. Styles vs. Bully Ray, Bound For Glory Series:  Pretty big match for XPlosion...and the series is winding down so every match is important.  A.J. can't quite pick him up in the Styles Clash but hits the Pele Kick...for two.  Styles snaps the throat off the top rope from the apron, then springboards...right into a Bully Cutter!  Cover, pin, and Bully Ray notches a huge victory for seven points!

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Jim Ross(for the main event), S. William Regal, & Byron Saxton.  Ring announcers:  Chris Russo and Howard Finkel(for the main event).

Mike Dalton & Jason Jordan vs. Hunico & Donny Camacho:  Dalton & Jordan scored the upset in the previous encounter between these teams...we'll see if they can make it two in a row.  The faces use some quick tags against Camacho...but that doesn't last long as Jordan runs into a spinebuster.  Hunico adds a cheapshot kick from the apron to solidify his side's advantage, but Jordan finally fights back to tag in Dalton.  The house is on fire and Dalton nearly gets the win again with a rana pin on Hunico, but only gets a near-fall.  Camacho cuts off a climb to the top rope but Dalton still nails the missile dropkick on Hunico...Camacho breaks up the ensuing pin attempt.  The ref gets occupied with Jordan and Camacho snaps Dalton's neck off the top rope...Hunico capitalizes with the Olympic Slam to get the duke as Camacho cuts off Jordan.

Jimmy & Jey Uso pay a visit...they have unfinished business with The Ascension, so how about a fight right now?  The lights go out in Orlando...but Conor O'Brian and Kenneth Cameron come from the other side of the ring and attack the Usos from behind!  Jimmy gets thrown shoulder-first into the ringpost, then Jey gets taken out with Total Elimination on the arena floor!  Back in the ring, Jimmy takes Total Elimination as well...cue the lightshow!

Chase Donovan(w/o entrance) vs. Big E Langston:  Yeahhhhh, good luck with that, Chase.  Langston isn't paid by the hour and finishes in short order with the Big Ending.

Briley Pierce still works here and interviews Big E backstage...he's a man of few words, it would seem.

Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal, Gold Rush Tournament Final for the NXT Title:  The roster comes out on the entrance stage to watch the main event...it's a big fight feel as we have The Fink for the ring announcements and General Manager/Commissioner Dusty Rhodes in the house to present the belt to the winner.  Dusty shakes hands with Seth...but Jinder takes a pass on the gesture because he's EVIL.

Anywho...YAY WRESTLING~!  Seth gets the better of the opening technical exchange so Mahal brawls his way into an advantage.  Seth fires back with dropkicks only for Mahal to avoid an early Blackout attempt.  Seth low-bridges Mahal out of the ring, but the plancha fakeout backfires as Mahal SWEEPS THE LEG, then slams him off the apron to the entrance ramp!  Back in the ring, Mahal covers...for two.

Jinder focuses on the back to wear Rollins down for a potential camel clutch...Seth tries to fight back but can't execute a basic suplex because of the damage to his back(PSYCHOLOGY~!).  Mahal cuts off another offensive attempt with his trademark high knee...for two.  He goes for the camel clutch and Seth quickly goes to the ropes for refuge...then hits an enzuigiri out of nowhere!  Seth fights back into the matchup and avoids a high knee in the corner, causing Jinder to fall all the way out of the ring...Rollins follows him out with a huge plancha off the top rope!  Back into the ring, Seth goes to the top again but gets cut off and superplexed!

Both guys are slow to rise but Seth gets the better of the striking exchange...Mahal comes up with a tilt-a-whirl slam out of nowhere!  Cover...for two.  Full nelson slam is blocked and countered into a mid-air armdrag...Seth misses one kick from the apron but not two.  Springboard knee trembler!  Cover...for 2 1/2!  Corner forearm and corner Flatliner set up Avada Kedavra...for 2 1/2!  Third floor...Phoenix Splash misses!  Full nelson slam hits...for 2 1/2!  Camel clutch is fought and finally countered into a modified victory roll...for two!  Seth maneuvers him in a turnbuckle powerbomb...and hits it!  Blackout!  1-2-3 and we have a NEWWWWW NXT Champion!

Dusty congratulates the winner and the faces enter the ring to congratulate him...then Seth goes out into the crowd to celebrate with the fans as we fade out.

Commentators:  Josh Mathews, Matt Striker, & Scott Stanford.

Ryback vs. Johnny Curtis:  At the risk of repeating myself...yeahhhhh, good luck with that, Johnny.  Curtis manages to do better than expected...in other words, he gets in some actual offense.  The ending isn't too shocking...LARIATOOOOO sets up the Shellshock and that's the ballgame.

Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes):  YAY TAG TEAM WRESTLING~!  So who are the heels in this matchup?  I would put my guess on the Colon cousins as they've only really been faces against the Prime Time Players.  The momentum shifts a few times until the Colons take over completely against Jimmy.  Primo misses a corkscrew Lionsault and Jey gets the tag...time to clean house!  Epico makes the mistake of trying to headbutt Jey...um, no.  However, Primo runs interference long enough for Epico to toss Jey to the floor.  Now it's Jey's turn to take some abuse from the opponents...but Primo misses a corner dropkick and hangs himself up in the corner in the process.  Race to tag...tag Epico, tag Jimmy!  Grass hut afire, Samoan Drop, Umaga Smash...Primo saves.  Jey low-bridges Primo out but Primo yanks him to the floor.  Jimmy blocks a backcracker and delivers a superkick...third floor?  Splash hits!  However, Rosa's got the referee's attention and Primo jumps in the ring to hit Jimmy with the backcracker!  Epico rolls on top of Jimmy and he gets the three-count.

Alex Riley vs. Jinder Mahal:  A-Ry looks good early, but Mahal hiptosses him into the turnbuckles and kicks him to the floor.  Riley makes the comeback and hits the elevated DDT...for two.  Third floor...but Mahal cuts him off, resulting in a painful landing on the turnbuckles.  High knee sets up the camel clutch and Riley has nowhere to go but Tapout City.

TNA Impact

Commentators:  Mike Tenay & Taz.

Bound For Glory Series:  James Storm d. Rob Van Dam by countering a forward-roll monkeyflip with the Last Call superkick.

Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. d. Madison Rayne with the BAM(TKO).  O.D.B.'s tag partner Eric Young made his return after the match...he's a big T.V. star, don'cha know.

Bound For Glory Series:  Samoa Joe d. A.J. Styles.  A.J. countered a Kokita Clutch into a cross-armbreaker attempt(targeting the arm that Brutus Magnus hit with a chair last week) but Joe managed to roll him over into a pinning combination for the three-count.

Chris Lewie got the thumbs-down in the Gut Check...then Joey Ryan popped back up at ringside and threw a drink at Al Snow.  Bruce Pritchard couldn't quite hold Al back after that...

Bound For Glory Series:  Jeff Hardy d. Kurt Angle after the second swanton bomb of the match.  The final five in the series are Hardy, Bully Ray, Joe, Storm, and RVD...next week's matches are Hardy vs. Joe and RVD vs. Ray.

The show closed with Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries(backed up by Hulk Hogan, Sting, and several roster members) calling out a member of the Aces & Eights for a one-on-one fight(since he's not cleared to compete)...however, it erupted into a gang fight and one of the masked men took out Aries with a cheapshot from behind with a slapjack.
