TNA XPlosion
Commentators: Jeremy Borash & Pat Kenney.
Samoa Joe vs. Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels, Bound For Glory Series: Pretty big match for the B show. Joe dominates the first part of the match, but a blind charge into the corner gives Daniels an opening to attack the arm. Kenney, true to form, keeps changing his mind about his favorite in the series. Daniels makes the mistake of going to the second rope and gets caught with an inverted atomic drop...ow. Daniels rakes the eyes but runs into an exploder suplex...he has to reach for the ropes to escape defeat. Daniels escapes a muscle buster attempt but gets caught in the Kokita Clutch...Daniels runs him into the corner to break the hold and stuns him with an enzuigiri. Daniels comes off the ropes but runs right into a huge powerslam...and that's enough for the victory and seven points!
WWE NXT6
Commentators: Jim Ross(for the tournament matches), Byron Saxton, & S. William Regal.
We start with a video package with comments from all eight tournament participants...who will be the first to hold the NXT Championship?
Justin Gabriel vs. Michael McGillicutty, Gold Rush Tournament: I note that most of the tournament participants have held the FCW Heavyweight Title...with Richie Steamboat recently capturing that belt, that leaves Jinder Mahal as the only tournament participant to NOT hold that championship. YAY WRESTLING~! Gabriel surprisingly gets the better of the mat wrestling exchange, then flips out of a suplex attempt to hit his own. McGillicutty finally brawls his way into an advantage and slows the pace...Regal notes that both men are second-generation competitors(in fact McGillicutty is THIRD-generation). Dueling cross-bodyblocks leave both men down but Gabriel is the one to rally once both are back up. Springboard cross-body gets a near-fall for Gabriel...he goes to the top rope but McGillicutty rolls to the other side of the ring to avoid a possible Fall From Grace(450 Splash). Gabriel still hits a Blue Thunder Bomb...for two. McGillicutty small-packages Gabriel and rolls straight through into the Perfectplex(!)...but only gets 2 1/2! Gabriel flips out of a side backbreaker to hit an Eye Of The Hurricane...but the springboard moonsault hits nothing but mat! MM capitalizes with the Headturner neckbreaker and gets the win to advance in the tournament! McGillicutty will face Seth Rollins in the semifinals next week...
C.J. Parker(w/o entrance) vs. Kassius Ohno: Parker gets the better of the first technical exchange...Ohno bails out of the ring to regroup and then traps C.J. in the ring apron to dish out some abuse. Parker has a good showing, scoring a two-count after a Harlem Side Kick...but he runs into a huge boot out of the corner and that stops him in his tracks. Ohno picks up the dazed Parker and levels him with the roaring elbow to the back of the head...that's enough for the three-count.
Briley Pierce(who still works here) did a backstage interview with Mike Dalton & Jason Jordan after their upset win last week. They're ready to make NXT their proving ground...we shall see.
Really weird Ascension vignette.
Tamina Snuka & Paige Knight vs. Kaitlyn Bonin & Caylee Turner: Tamina and Paige are both the daughters of wrestlers...in fact, Paige's mother AND father are/were wrestlers. Caylee(Alicia Fox's sister) is making her NXT debut. Kaitlyn is working heel on NXT these days...she doesn't seem to be on the same page as her partner as Caylee refuses a tag at one point. Tamina gets in trouble for a little while but catches Turner with a Samoan Drop...hot tag to Paige! She hits a fallaway slam but Kaitlyn breaks up the pin, then pulls Tamina to ringside. However, it's all for naught as Paige small-packages Caylee and gets her first win on NXT!
Derrick Bateman talks to Bo Dallas backstage...and wonders if that tag match loss a few weeks ago was the reason why he didn't qualify for the tournament. Sounds like Derrick may be a bit sore about his exclusion...
Bo Dallas vs. Jinder Mahal, Gold Rush Tournament: Winner faces Steamboat in the semifinals. Bo gets several early two-counts in a row and Jinder decides to regroup on the arena floor as a result. The commentators note that Mahal's from a wrestling family as well...he takes control with a well-placed knee to the gut and slows the pace a bit. J.R. speculates that Mahal is targeting the neck to set up the camel clutch, of course. Dallas fires back with a good run of offense, getting a close near-fall after a powerslam. Mahal goes to the ropes to regroup, then gets off a few elbows to the face before planting Bo with a tilt-a-whirl slam...for two. Blind charge hits turnbuckles and Bo delivers a turnbuckle-walk bulldog(!)...for 2 1/2! Jinder begs off a bit and lures Bo into a kick to the knee, but Bo avoids the incoming high knee. Mahal blocks the Bodazzler(Angel's Wings) and pushes Bo into the ropes, then yanks him painfully up into the top rope by the arm. Jinder capitalizes with a Flatliner, then gets the camel clutch...Bo tries to hang on but finally taps out. Mahal advances to the tournament semifinals next week...
Next week: Seth Rollins vs. Michael McGillicutty and Richie Steamboat vs. Jinder Mahal in the Gold Rush Tournament.

Commentators; Josh Mathews, Matt Striker, & Scott Stanford.
Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel vs. Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins: This is a rematch from two weeks ago. Of course, Reks & Hawkins had a rough Monday night at the hands of Ryback. Kidd gets caught on the wrong side of the ring and Hawkins sends him to the floor with a pseudo-Pele Kick...then Reks does some damage on the floor. Kidd finally fights out of a belly-to-back superplex attempt to deliver a sunset bomb off the turnbuckles on Hawkins...and tags are made on both sides! Gabriel is a house afire against Reks, but he misses a springboard moonsault and Reks plants him with an elevated Flatliner...for two. Reks counters an attempted Eye Of The Hurricane into his own...for two. Gabriel gets an O'Connor Roll out of nowhere...for two. Reks attempts a vertical suplex but Gabriel counters into a mid-air DDT...and Hawkins finally recovers to break up the pin attempt. Kidd resurfaces to get rid of Hawkins, then tags back in for a unique double-team finish: Gabriel gets Reks in a catapult position and Kidd hits a springboard elbowdrop! Kidd gets the three-count on Reks after that for a hard-fought win.
U.S. Champion Santino Marella vs. Michael McGillicutty, non-title: The commentators speculate on whether Antonio Cesaro is in line for a title shot after his recent victories over Santino. Santino cartwheels out of a few predicaments so McGillicutty tries his own cartwheel...the fans are not impressed. MM turns things around for a little while...Marella gets a quick two-count with an O'Connor Roll but gets caught with a dropkick after the kickout. McGillicutty misses a forearm drop off the second rope and Santino delivers a quick Saito Suplex...sounds like a comeback to me! Santino rallies with the usual and finishes up with the Cobra.
Zack Ryder vs. Lord Tensai(w/ Adeshi Sakamoto): Yeahhhhh. Zack gets in a drop-toehold outside the ring that sends Tensai face-first into the broadcast table...that momentarily slows him down. Other than that, Tensai dominates the matchup and Sakamoto gets in an unnecessary cheapshot behind the referee's back. Vader Bomb misses and Ryder shoves Sakamoto down, giving himself the opening for a Broski Boot...for two. A Rough Ryder attempt is blocked for a turnbuckle powerbomb...Baldo Bomb follows, then the senton for the decisive win.
