NWA Anarchy TV #342

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & John Johnson.

Brodie Ray Chase vs. Jagged Edge(w/ Jeff G. Bailey):  With Chase reinstated as an active wrestler after his stink as General Manager/Commissioner, this is a tall order for his return match(courtesy of new G.M. Jerry Palmer).  Chase and Bailey get into an argument before the match can even start, leading to Jagged Edge attacking Brodie at ringside and ramming him into the broadcast booth.  They do get back in the ring for the match to officially start...J.E. shows impressive strength by easily lifting Chase up for a running powerslam.  J.E. teases a powerbomb but Mikael Judas makes his big entrance...El Big Staredown ensues.  Jeff G. calls for backup and gets both Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers & T.V. Champion Bo Newsom...however, Shaun hangs back and lets Bo fly solo straight into a Judas chokeslam.  Ha ha.  The referee calls it a no-contest as the heels retreat...that'll work.

The Hate Junkies(Dany Only & Stryknyn, w/ Dan Wilson) vs. The Urban Assault Squad(Shadow Jackson & Nemesis, w/ Jerry Palmer):  The Junkies hit the ring immediately and the fight is on!  The UAS turned heel due to the divided fan support in their previous feud with the Junkies...so we're told, anyway.  As Johnson notes, NO ONE wants to wait for an opening bell tonight...even after said bell, the Junkies shift right back into high gear.  Johnson also notes the presence of new senior official Brent Wiley...goodie.  The Junkies don't mind using some underhanded tactics behind the ref's back, of course.  Nemesis levels Only from behind to give his team the advantage and Palmer gets in a few shots...to be fair, the Junkies were the first to use cheap tactics in this particular matchup.  The UAS members focus their attack on Only's arm...he tries to fight back but runs into the 1031 Spinebuster by Shadow...for two.  Nemesis tags into the match, but wastes too much time and the senton hits a pair of raised knees.  Nemesis just barely cuts off the tag but Only back-suplexes him and finally tags in Stryknyn!  The house is on fire and Stryknyn hits the spear but Shadow breaks up the pin.  All four men fight in the ring and the ref finally calls for a double DQ...not that any of the wrestlers care as they're still fighting.  The Junkies stomp down Shadow and set up for the lariat/spear combo but Jackson rolls out of the ring.  The Rev gets a microphone and speaks to "Jerry The Cable Guy"...the challenge is issued for a Hangman's Match between the two teams!

Jacob Ashworth vs. Andrew Pendleton III:  Ashworth & Skirra Corvus defeated Tommy Daniels & C.B. Gibson at Hostile Environment in a match that didn't make the cut for the highlight show a few weeks ago...Tim E.D. hopes Ashworth can refocus on championship gold with that issue behind him.  The momentum shifts several times in the closing minutes of the match...either guy could use a big win at this point.  AP3 finally gets the cheap pin with a rollup and feet on the ropes...Tim E.D. wonders about the senior official's authority and Johnson reminds us that the referee's decision is final(as per Palmer's ruling last week).  Ashworth is frustrated and actually shoves referee Dee Byers down to the mat.

The NWA Elite(Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers & Jacoby Boykins, w/ Jeff G. Bailey) vs. Azrael & Slim J(w/ Dan Wilson) for the Tag Team Titles:  The Elite wanted to call off the scheduled title defense due to the absence of both "official" champs(Se7en & Bryan Cassanova).  However, NWA Representative Bill Behrens and promoter Franklin Dove called them on their constant abuse of the Freebird Rule to say that there WOULD be a title match tonight.  Tempers has plenty of history with both opponents and he takes a beating in the early minutes of the match.  Johnson wonders if HE qualifies as a "former Tag Team Champion" under that mindset since he "wrestled" as a member of the Elite at Hostile Environment.  Senior official Brent Wiley just happens to be the referee for this matchup as well...go figure.  The Elite members isolate Slim J...you know, why are only HEEL teams good at cutting off the ring in tag matches?  Boykins delivers his signature powerslam and Slim J incredibly manages to kick out of the pin cover.  Tempers tags in and sets up the Rude Awakening, but Slim J fights out of it and tags in Azrael!  Boykins gets a tag on the other side but Azrael's a house afire and the challengers double-team the hell out of both opponents...Jacoby finally puts a stop to that.  Jacoby lines up for an avalanche, but Azrael gives ref Wiley a little push and Boykins runs over the official instead!  Too bad, so sad...Azrael boots Jacoby down and Slim J schoolboy-trips him to the mat.  Slim J adds a double-stomp and elbowdrop, then Azrael sits on the second rope and Slim J jumps off Azrael's shoulders for a flying inverted DDT!  Azrael adds a frog elbowdrop as Slim J cuts off Tempers...Azrael covers and Dee Byers runs in to count three!  We have newwwww Tag Team Champions...and as made abundantly clear earlier in the show, the referee's decision is final!

The Elite members amass at ringside as the new champs hold the high ground in the ring along with The Reverend...but the good guys arrive through the front door to back them up!  The Elite members decide to fight another day...
