NWA Anarchy TV #338

NWA Anarchy TV #338

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & Bret Wolverton.

Wolverton interviews promoter Franklin Dove & Commissioner Brodie Ray Chase to start the show...Brodie accepts the NWA Elite's challenge from last week.  Brodie says he has a team ready...Azrael, Slim J, Nemesis, and the Hate Junkies.  Chase assures Dove that he has a sixth man in the wings...Franklin hopes it isn't Brodie himself.  Is it Shadow Jackson?  We see some video footage of Nemesis meeting with his Urban Assault Squad partner...Shadow feels like he's ready to return, but he's still concerned about his well-being as it relates to his family.  Nemesis tells his partner to come back only when he's truly ready...so it won't be Shadow at Hostile Environment.  Chase promises that he will deliver the sixth member of his team and it'll be a nice little surprise for the Elite...

Dany Only vs. Jacoby Boykins:  Only is flying solo without his Hate Junkie tag partner Stryknyn on this night...he's at a severe power and size disadvantage against the Alabama Ambassador.  Only tries to go aerial but gets caught in a huge spinebuster...Boykins actually pulls Only up from the pin cover to dish out more punishment.  However, that comes back to bite him as Only small-packages him for the surprise pinfall!  THE LIGHTS GO OUT IN CORNELIA and the mysterious huge newcomer to the Elite appears in the ring to lay out Only with a running powerslam.  Jerry Palmer arrives to applaud the efforts of his newest ally...

Skirra Corvus vs. Cedric Alexander vs. Mike Posey vs. Corey Hollis, four-way dance Gold Rush Qualifier:  Posey lets everyone know that he isn't happy with wrestling three opponents instead of just one.  Posey says that if he wins the Gold Rush Match, he wants a match with promoter Franklin Dove instead of a championship opportunity...okay.  Alexander has made a few appearances in Ring Of Honor recently...also, Posey & Hollis have been regular tag partners in the past(Rave Approved).  Johnny Dangerous, Andrew Pendleton III, and Seth Delay have already qualified for the Gold Rush Match and this match will decide the final participant in that matchup.  Three wrestlers end up on the floor and Alexander picks up the proverbial 7-10 split with a huge somersault plancha!

Posey & Hollis double up on Alexander after Posey disposes of Corvus on the floor...but Alexander finally rallies against the Rave Approved duo.  Posey & Hollis keep saving each other from elimination as Corvus finally gets back into the fray...out of nowhere, Hollis levels Alexander with a spinning elbow strike and pins him!  Corvus springboards into a double clothesline on both Posey & Hollis, but the numbers quickly catch up to him as well.  Corvus finally fights out of a double-team maneuver and goes on offense...he teases a Graveyard Shift on Posey but Hollis stops that with an Olympic Slam.  They set up for another double-team move but Corvus catapults Hollis into Posey on the turnbuckles!  Corvus delivers the Graveyard Shift on Hollis and pins him...but Posey comes off the top rope with the guillotine legdrop before Corvus can get up from his pin cover!  Posey quickly covers Corvus for the three-count and he advances to the Gold Rush Match.

Jacob Ashworth vs. Tommy Daniels(w/ C.B. Gibson):  Daniels wastes no time in attacking Ashworth...sorry, no sale.  Ashworth controls a lot of the match, but Daniels finally gets a sustained advantage after dropkicking the knee.  FOOT DDT~!  Ashworth finally delivers a back suplex to gain some momentum, but pauses to swat Gibson off the apron.  Gibson keeps making a nuisance of himself and the referee somehow misses this interference, allowing Daniels to get the cheap rollup win with a handful of tights.  Ashworth mows down Daniels & Gibson with a double clothesline after the match, but Daniels clips the knee to cut him off...finally Skirra Corvus arrives to make the save.

Bo Newsom(w/ Jerry Palmer) vs. Nemesis for the T.V. Title:  Palmer enlightens us before the match...he identifies the Elite's newest monster as "Jagged Edge".  Nemesis overpowers Bo in the early minutes of the match...Newsom finally snaps his throat off the top rope to gain an opening.  Palmer gets in a cheapshot or two behind the referee's back...why not?  Nemesis finally mounts a comeback, delivering a barrel-roll into the corner and then a senton...but he can't make an immediate pin cover and Newsom kicks out of the pin at 2 1/2.  The two trade chops but Bo surprises him with a spinebuster...HIS delayed cover only gets 2 1/2.  Bo misses a high knee in the corner and Nemesis picks him up for a modified Dominator(!)...he covers and the referee counts three, but he waves it off as Bo got his foot on the bottom rope at the last second.  Oh hey, that's Brent Wiley, what a coincidence!  Bo quickly double-legs him into a Flair Pin with feet on the ropes and the referee doesn't see THAT, so Newsom gets the three-count to retain his title.  Post-match, THE LIGHTS GO OUT IN CORNELIA and Jagged Edge drops Nemesis with a huge chokeslam.  Jagged Edge, Newsom, and Palmer stand over the fallen Nemesis to close the show...
