TNA XPlosion
Your hosts are Jeremy Borash & Taz.
Ink Inc. vs. The British Invasion: Will Brutus Magnus ever cash in his XPlosion tournament title shot? Jesse Neal has control against Magnus, but Douglas Williams trips him up and pulls him to the floor to introduce him to the ring steps. Shannon Moore finally gets back into the action and chaos breaks loose, then Magnus throws Neal to the floor and the Brits double-team Moore into oblivion. However, Magnus BOOTs Williams by mistake and Neal GOREs Magnus...then Moore hits a solo Mooregasm(somersault neckbreaker off the second rope) to pin Williams.
WWE NXT5.com
Your hosts are Jack Korpela & S. William Regal, your emcee is Matt Striker.
Striker introduces a capture-the-flag challenge...of course, we're down to two competitors at the moment since Mr. No-Days-Off Darren Young is taking about thirty days off. Titus O'Neil is seconded by Percy Watson while Derrick Bateman is hanging out with Maxine Perez. The challenge is worth fifteen redemption points, in case anyone's still keeping track...so even though O'Neil is way ahead, Bateman can get within striking distance by winning here. Of course, Titus can put it out of reach if HE wins...but Bateman just cheapshots Titus pretty quickly while Maxine grabs Percy's foot to keep him from getting involved. Striker declares O'Neil the winner by disqualification...and announces O'Neil & Percy vs. Bateman and a partner of his choice for the main event. Surprised it took me this long to figure out that Bateman is essentially in Lucky Cannon's old role(including the relationship with Maxine)...
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Tyler Reks(w/ Curt Hawkins): Hawkins limps to ringside on a walking stick...Regal says that he suffered a fractured ankle in last week's match with Jimmy & Jey Uso. We get a replay of a backfired double-team that led to Hawkins taking a bad spill to the floor...Reks wonders if they can get away with such tactics because their father Rikishi Phatu used to work for the company. Regal drops the name of Jushin Liger as one of Yoshi's trainers...was not aware of that. Wish Eldon wasn't such a long drive as it would be cool to see Regal in person at WLW this Saturday night. Yoshi fires off a huge roundhouse kick and then avoids a blind charge, causing Reks to hit the ringpost shoulder-first. Tatsu follows up with the spinning heel kick off the top rope for the victory...but he suffers a double-team assault from Reks & Hawkins after the match. The Usos hit the ring and Hawkins bails, leaving Reks to eat a double superkick from the Samoan brothers. Hmm, looks like a six-man tag in the making, we just need an extra heel...
Kaitlyn Bonin(w/ A.J. Lee) vs. Maxine Perez: A.J.'s friend Kaitlyn is lending a hand in her recent rivalry...and also returning to the show where she won Season 3. This almost HAS to be better than some of their previous encounters...I recall referring to them as some of the worst matches I had witnessed in recent memory and I'm about as forgiving as it gets. Maxine actually counters a slam attempt into a modified dragon clutch...wow. Kaitlyn delivers a Buh-Buh Bomb and transitions into a leg-applied full nelson(a la Pierre Abernathy), putting that leg strength to good use...and she gets the submission, nicely done.
Bateman can't recruit Tyson Kidd for tonight, but he finds another ally despite fumbling on the handshake...
Titus O'Neil & Percy Watson vs. J.T.G. & Derrick Bateman: O'Neil & Watson are the more experienced tag team, but the heels have their share of tag team experience with different partners. Some teamwork by the heels puts Percy at a disadvantage and Bateman delivers a nice missile dropkick off the apron. Watson powers out of a camel clutch and makes the hot tag to Titus...casa en fuego(we're still in Mexico)! Bateman disposes of Percy and J.T.G. takes out O'Neil's leg, but Bateman tags in and misses the Steamboat Press by a mile. O'Neil capitalizes with the Clash Of The Titus on Bateman and that's the ballgame!
