Your hosts are Jack Korpela, Matt Striker, Josh Mathews, & Scott Stanford.
Ted DiBiase Jr. vs. Jinder Mahal: One of these guys has to turn his luck around...right? Fine matchup between these two...Dream Street is countered and Mahal connects with a pair of high knees, scoring a close near-fall. DiBiase gets off a dropkick and goes to the top rope, but Mahal crotches him on the turnbuckle and hits the full nelson slam for the upset win. Korpela correctly refers to the finisher as the "Sands Of Time"(v2.0), good for him.
Santino Marella vs. Heath Slater: Hey, Heath can hang out with D-Young and talk about the glory days of the Nexus for a month or so. Stanford goes above and beyond the call of duty, noting that Santino(partner Vladimir Kozlov not mentioned) ended Heath's Tag Team Title reign with Justin Gabriel...CONTINUITY~! Slater has a good showing but badly misses a splash off the top...cue El Big Comeback, punctuated by the Cobra for the victory.
Tag Team Champions Air Boom(Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne) vs. Drew McIntyre & Michael McGillicutty, non-title: Interesting pairing on the heel side...both are former Tag Team Champions with different partners(Cody Rhodes and David Otunga, respectively). Being the dork I am, I also note that both were Tag Champs in FCW(Drew with Wade Barrett, McGillicutty with Heath Slater and Brett DiBiase). Nice double-team by the champs as Bourne hangs Drew up on the ropes for a top-rope double-stomp to the gut by Kofi. Kofi and Drew are no strangers to each other...as I say that, Stanford notes that Kofi won the Intercontinental Title from Drew. Kudos, Scott! Drew rather suddenly tags out...wonder if they're truly on the same page? Nice combo by the champs on McGillicutty, ending in Kofi assisting Bourne in his signature standing moonsault off an opponent's back. (Yes, I'm biased, shut up.) QUICK TAGS~! allow the titleholders to dish out some punishment on Michael-Mac...the champs clean house and hit stereo suicide dives!
McIntyre & McGillicutty turn it around and isolate Kingston...but he slides into a tag to Bourne. Bourne hits a huge crucifix bomb on McGillicutty...for two. Bourne goes topside, but the ref is occupied with Kofi and Drew trips up Evan on the ropes. Now it's Bourne on the receiving end of abuse as the heels start to work better as a unit...Evan gets a bridging rollup on Drew out of nowhere, but it's only good for a two-count and Drew takes the abuse to the arena floor. McGillicutty takes too long on a suplex setup and Bourne needs his way out of it, then backdrops McGillicutty and tags are made on both sides! Casa en fuego...SOS on Drew is blocked but the Superman Punch and Boom Drop are not. Trouble In Paradise? No, Drew backs into the corner but gets caught in a half-turn cross-body off the top...McGillicutty breaks up that pin attempt and nails Bourne. Kofi's left alone in the ring, but Drew BOOTs his partner by mistake! Trouble In Paradise connects on McIntyre...tag to Bourne and he hits the shooting star press for the victory!
TNA Impact
Extended yapping to start the show with Sting, Hulk Hogan, and Dixie Carter...then Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle. Bobby Roode wants a rematch after the screwy finish at the PPV and Sting's ready to book the rematch with Dixie's blessing, but Angle and Eric Bischoff snuck a no-rematch clause into the contract so it's not happening. That brings out James Storm who wants a piece of Kurt himself...so Sting makes the main event for tonight: Angle vs. Storm for the Heavyweight Title.
Tara Varon & Brooke Tessmacher vs. Winter Lea & Angelina Love for the Women's Tag Team Titles: Hey, wrestling! I remember this! Decent little TV match with Brooke getting the surprise pin on Winter after a Steamboat Press.
More sportz entertainment...this time, it's an encounter between Jeff Jarrett(w/ Karen Angle-Jarrett) and Jeff Hardy stemming from their altercation at Bound For Glory.
Abyss vs. Phil Gunner: Guess Abyss is back to face-dom...Gunner takes a beating for about a minute before taking a walk for the countout.
Time to hear from the new Women's Champion Velvet Sky...of course, leave it to Karen to rain on her parade. Karen has a beef since she was the referee and didn't count the deciding fall, plus Velvet didn't pin previous champion Winter to win that belt...at least Traci Brooks is there to stand by Velvet, but Karen has her escorted from the ring by security. Karen calls Madison Rayne to the ring to deal with Velvet...but it's a feint as Velvet is attacked from behind by the returning Gail Kim!
More yapping as Eric Bischoff(w/ Immortal) calls out Hulk...Hulk nearly gets surrounded but Sting arrives with baseball bats to spare. In the middle of it all, Bischoff gets into a confrontation with his son Garrett(who had refereed as "Jackson James" in recent months and officiated the Sting-Hogan match at the PPV) and Garrett decks his father.
Kurt Angle vs. James Storm for the Heavyweight Title: Angle brawls his way into an advantage, backing Storm into a corner...the ref has to get Kurt out of the corner and Kurt keeps brushing him off. However, Kurt proceeds to walk right into a huge superkick from Storm...and Storm gets the pin to win the Heavyweight Title?!? Wow. Roode, Frankie Kazarian, and A.J. Styles are all out for the big celebration(beer bash~!). Storm feels like it's bittersweet and wants to hand the belt to Roode...but Roode agrees with the fans that Storm deserves it, even personally putting the belt around his partner's waist.
