NXT + Impact

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Brad Maddox.  Ring announcer:  Kendall Skye.

Percy Watson, Axl Keegan, & Scott Dawson vs. The Shield(Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns):  This breaks down into a pier-six brawl before the opening bell and the Shield members clear the ring, then take the fight out to the floor.  We finally get the starting bell as Dawson takes a beating, then Axl tags only to get cut off in short order.  Ambrose and Rollins hit the bow-and-arrow/top-rope kneedrop double-team, then Reigns and Ambrose hold off the other guys while Rollins finishes off Keegan with the Asai DDT.  Yeahhhhh, that wasn't too competitive...Dawson takes the triple-team spike powerbomb for fun.  Dean and his cohorts enlighten us...justice has been served.  However, we do have a dissenting point of view as Corey Graves issues a challenge from the NXT-tron to any member of the trio...Rollins says he can handle this and tells his partners to take the night off.

Backstage, Tony Dawson interviews Summer Rae...she didn't RUN AWAY from Paige Knight, she just had to return to her dressing room to shut off her curling iron.  Gotcha.

Backstage(again), Renee Young interviews Emma Tayla...she feels like she already has a fan following.  Some fans think she's a klutz, but she disagrees...then stumbles on her way off the interview set.  Heh.

The Funkadactyls(Naomi Night & Cameron Lynn) vs. The Bella Twins(Brie & Nikki):  It's safe to say these teams have issues.  Phillips can somehow tell the Bellas apart so I'll take his word for it.  Naomi does well early, but Cameron falls victim to a cheapshot and gets caught in the wrong corner.  Cameron surprises Brie with a Rude Awakening, but the twins hold off Naomi long enough to keep things going their way.  Brie pins Cameorn after the twins do a double leg grapevine into a double forward roll, taking Cameron over into a high-impact landing on the mat.

Backstage, Dawson interviews Kassius Ohno(w/ "Real Man's Man" T-shirt).  He's seen Regal and knows him well enough to beat him.

In two weeks:  It's a "Clash Of The Champions" edition of the show as four belts will be defended!  Kaitlyn Bonin defends the Women's Title against A.J. Lee, Antonio Cesaro faces NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville for the U.S. Title, Big E Langston defends the NXT Title against Brad Maddox, and Wade Barrett puts the Intercontinental Title on the line against recent rival Bo Dallas.

Backstage(one more time), Renee Young interviews S. William Regal.  He was happy with his role as an announcer, but Kassius Ohno unlocked the doors in his head and now he must face the consequences.  "For what you are about to receive...may my children forgive me."

S. William Regal vs. Kassius Ohno:  It's safe to say this has been building for a while.  YAY WRESTLING~!  It doesn't take Ohno long to resort to cheapshots, but Regal keeps his cool(for now) and takes him back down to the mat.  Regal beats him down in the corner and chats with the ref while kicking Ohno in the face...tremendous.  Regal lets the ref know that HE KNOWS THE RULES, then shows Ohno how to do a CRAVATE~!...Kassius tosses him to the floor, then hits a major dropkick to the head through the ropes!

Ohno dishes out the abuse with repeated boots to the face but can't keep Regal down.  Ohno goes old-school with a full nelson, but Regal leverages his way out of it and returns fire with his own strikes.  Regal bends Ohno's fingers around the middle rope(OW) and keeps assaulting the left hand of his opponent...but Ohno finally stops him with a knee to the head.  Kassius attempts to get his hand back in working order, then boots Regal's head into the ringpost!  Ohno has trouble with his usual holds due to the hand damage so he falls back on his striking offense...he wants to use the CRAVATE~! but can't lock the fingers.  Regal gets an exploder suplex out of nowhere, but Ohno elbows out of a Regal Stretch attempt and hits a back suplex...for two.  Regal is FIRED UP~! but seems out of sorts...Ohno delivers another huge boot to the head...for 2 1/2.  Roaring elbow is stopped by Regal's own forearm smash...and that stuns Ohno long enough for Regal hit the knee trembler!  Regal practically collapses into the cover to get the three-count and I concur with the fans:  He's still got it.

Next week:  Seth Rollins vs. Corey Graves in a lumberjack match.

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay, Todd Keneley, & Taz.
-Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Shawn Hernandez d. Bobby Roode & Austin Aries in a best-of-three-falls match to win the Tag Team Titles.  The champs blindsided the challengers with the belts before the match began, then double-teamed Chavo until Roode pinned him after a spinebuster.  Aries took too long on the ropes and missed a frog splash, allowing Chavo to Oklahoma-roll him for fall two.  After several false finishes, Hernandez reversed a double suplex on Roode and Aries, allowing Chavo to finish Roode with the frog splash for the deciding pin.
-Taryn Terrell d. Gail Kim via rollup; Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. was the referee for the match.
-Rob Terry d. Joey Ryan after the fireman's-carry spinebuster.
-Bully Ray d. Jeff Hardy in a Full Metal Mayhem Match to retain the Heavyweight Title; Brooke Hogan watched from a ringside seat.  Taz passed in a hammer and Ray used it to knock Hardy off the ladder, sending him crashing through a table.  After that, Ray was able to retrieve the title belt that was hung above the ring.
