NXT + Impact

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tony Dawson & S. William Regal.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

Justin Gabriel vs. Leo Kruger:  This would be the latest in the long-running series between WWE's representatives from South Africa.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Regal notes that Gabriel is working on his ground game since opponents expect the aerial attack.  Kruger gains the first extended advantage after a spinebuster...Gabriel goes high-risk but Leo busts up a springboard move to ground him once again.  However, Gabriel takes him down in a Fujiwara armbar out of nowhere and Kruger barely gets a foot on the rope to escape.  Leo small-packages him for two but takes a flying kick off the second rope.  450 Splash...no, Kruger cuts him off.  Superplex...no, Gabriel fights out of that and attempts a sunset bomb only to get punched down and flattened with a huge double-stomp off the ropes!  Leo turns him over in the GC3(London Dungeon) and Justin has nowhere to go but Tapout City.

Next week:  NXT Clash Of The Champions!  (Yeah, Antonio Cesaro's no longer U.S. Champion...)

Clips from WWE Axxess:  The NXT wrestlers got the spotlight...for a lot of those men and women, this was their first time being a part of WrestleMania weekend as part of the WWE roster.  Several wrestlers comment that it wasn't long ago that they were toiling in developmental or even sitting in the crowd at WrestleMania as fans...and now they're part of the show.

Renee Young interviews Paige Knight...she doesn't buy Summer Rae's "curling iron" excuse for running away from the tag match a few weeks ago.  Paige wants a one-on-one match...and Summer answers that challenge with an attack from behind!

Emma Tayla vs. Bayley Rose:  One of these women might just win!  Emma's gaining quite a fan following...good for her.  She pulls off her skin-the-cat-ish ring entrance without a hitch...WOO~!  The two trade pin combos in the early going, but Bayley slams Emma's face to the mat to cut her off.  Wasn't sure who the face and heel would be in this one, but Bayley's definitely showing more aggression.  Bayley misses a charge into the corner and Emma hooks a modified Tarantula(!)...Regal drops Tajiri's name in response.  Emma follows up with a low cross-body as Bayley's slumped in the corner, then catapults her straight into an inverted STF for the tapout!  Nicely done.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Bray Wyatt(w/ Luke Harper & Erick Rowan):  Yoshi tries to outmaneuver Wyatt, but Bray runs him over with a cross-body before beating him down in the corner.  Avalance leads straight into the Rapture for three...that was fast.  He hits the finisher again for fun...Dawson re-dubs the move the "Sister Abigail".  Wyatt enlightens us afterwards...

Corey Graves vs. Seth Rollins, lumberjack match:  Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns were "given the night off"...wow, I don't know most of the guys around ringside.  I GUESS Graves is the face here...the commentators wonder if the lumberjacks are supposed to keep the wrestlers in the ring or keep The Shield OUT of the ring.  Seth keeps going to the ropes but he can't duck out of the ring completely.  Seth knocks Graves off the ropes with an enzuigiri and the lumberjacks quickly deposit him back in the ring...Rollins dominates after that.

Regal notes that Graves is the lesser of two evils as far as the lumberjacks are concerned...Seth misses the flying knee trembler and Graves targets the leg at first opportunity.  Rollins goes to the ropes but Corey gives him a dragon-screw legwhip...the lumberjacks keep him from taking a powder and that brings out Ambrose and Reigns!  Reigns beats down most of the lumberjacks and Ambrose takes out Graves with a cheapshot while the referee's attention is elsewhere...that allows Seth to finish with the Asai DDT.  BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD~!

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay, Todd Keneley, & Taz.
-Wes Brisco & Garett Bischoff d. Kurt Angle in a handicap match.  Ken Anderson distracted the referee and D-Lo Brown threw in a chain so Garett could use it to break up an anklelock on Wes; Garett got the pin after that.
-Kenny King won a triple threat match with Petey Williams and Shiima Xion to retain the X-Division Title.  Petey had Xion in the Sharpshooter, but King(who had been taken out of the match for a while by a Canadian Destroyer) dropkicked Williams to break up the hold and then stole the pin on Xion.
-T.V. Champion Brother Devon vs. Brutus Magnus never started because Mike Knux and Doc Gallows attacked Magnus before the match.  Samoa Joe saved Magnus from the three-on-one attack.
-Mickie James d. Brooke Tessmacher by blocking a sunset flip attempt; Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. was the referee.
-Brother Devon d. Samoa Joe to retain the T.V. Title.  Wes Brisco & Garett Bischoff ran interference, distracting the referee long enough for Ken Anderson to break up a muscle buster attempt with brass knuckles.  The ref turned around just in time to see Devon covering Joe for the win.
-A.J. Styles d. James Storm with a new rolling leglock submission hold.  Bad Influence(Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) tried to buddy up to A.J. afterwards but he hit both of them, then walked away as the Aces & Eights gang-attacked Storm, Daniels, and Kazarian.
