NXT + Impact

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips & S. William Regal.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

Commissioner Dusty Rhodes opens the show by hyping this "Clash Of The Champions" edition of the show...

Antonio Cesaro vs. NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville for the U.S. Title:  A crawler graphic notes the pre-taped nature of this match(since Cesaro lost the title to Kofi Kingston a week and a half ago on Raw).  Neville goes for the quick rollups right out of the gate...YAY WRESTLING~!  Cesaro tries to slow the pace but a flying headscissors sends him out to the floor to regroup.  They re-enter and Neville gets a victory roll...for two.  Dropkick hits, but a monkeyflip is blocked and Cesaro dumps him on the turnbuckle face-first...

Cesaro keeps his opponent grounded for a while...he blocks a sunset flip but Neville gets a backslide...for two.  He goes to the second rope and leaps, but Cesaro catches him in a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker...for two.  He grinds Neville down with a chinlock but gets low-bridged out of the ring...then a fakeout from the apron leads to a huge springboard moonsault press to the floor by Neville!  Back in, springboard dropkick gets two.  Standing shooting star press gets two.  Cesaro's pop-up European uppercut is countered into a mid-air rana pin...for 2 1/2!  Cesaro stops him with a knee to the gut but takes a roundhouse kick from the apron.  Moonsault off the middle rope is caught but Neville maneuvers into a mid-air DDT!  Cover...for 2 1/2!  Third floor...but Cesaro cuts him off and dashes forward into a EUROUPPERCUT~!...then he lifts him off the ropes upside-down and hits the Neutralizer for the three-count!  Nicely done.

Kaitlyn Bonin vs. A.J. Lee for the Women's Title:  They do shake hands to start but then A.J. slaps Kaitlyn in the face...it's on.  Kaitlyn goes on offense, but a blind charge hits the ringpost shoulder-first and A.J. goes after the arm.  Fujiwara armbar~!  She throws in a bridging hammerlock variant(Regal calls it a "backhammer") for good measure...Kaitlyn fires back but A.J. hits a single-arm DDT.  Kaitlyn still manages a one-armed rally...A.J. goes to the top but Kaitlyn rolls through a cross-body and maneuvers into an inverted DDT...for two.  A.J. ducks a spear and Kaitlyn falls through the ropes to the floor...she barely beats the ten-count but gets caught in the sleeper(Dolph Ziggler~!).  Kaitlyn powers out of that but takes a spinkick to the gut and shining enzuigiri...for 2 1/2.  A.J. snaps and starts wildly beating down Kaitlyn...but comes off the ropes right into a SPEAR out of nowhere and that's the ballgame!

Big E Langston vs. Brad Maddox for the NXT Title:  I don't see a title change happening here.  CHALK UP~!  Brad does his own ring introduction complete with inflated weight number...heh.  Maddox immediately runs into a backdrop and it's downhill from there...Vader Smash, Big Ending, see ya.  As is tradition around here, Langston delivers a post-match Big Ending and administers his own FIVE~!-count.  Brad wants to leave but Big E isn't done yet...another Big Ending, another FIVE~!-count.

Tony Dawson interviews Bo Dallas...he eliminated Wade Barrett from the Royal Rumble and then pinned him in a non-title match, so he's primed and ready for this opportunity.

Wade Barrett vs. Bo Dallas for the Intercontinental Title:  Dallas, like Neville before him, goes for a lot of flash pin attempts in the early going.  Bo gets some momentum going, but Barrett elbows him into the ropes...then yanks his arm, leading to a rather painful landing on the mat for Bo.  Wade dominates the match after that simple maneuver...this is a rather partisan crown as they were very pro-A.J. earlier and now they're vocal in their support of Barrett.  Bo drop-toeholds Wade into the turnbuckles to start his rally...Flying Jalapeno gets two.  Wade fights back but Dallas escapes the pumphandle slam setup to hit an inverted DDT...for two.  Turnbuckle-walk bulldog is blocked and Wade hits the Winds Of Change(spinning Bossman Slam)...for two.  Barrett loads up the forearm but Bo ducks the Bullhammer, then hits the turnbuckle-walk bulldog on the second try...for two!  Wasteland is set up but Bo fights out of it, landing himself on the second rope...but he jumps off right into the Bullhammer!  That'll do it...1-2-3.

Next week:  Chris Jericho pays a visit!
