It was a full weekend with shows on both Friday and Saturday...SICW drew a pretty good crowd to their semi-regular venue in Fairmont City.
The night started with a surprise result as Brandon Gallagher managed to steal a win against veteran Keith Smith. Didn't see that coming...
A couple of newcomers were in action...Jake Parnell made his pro debut at the last Dynamo show and competed here as Gentleman Brad Fox. Also, Dino Giovanni made his in-ring debut in the battle royal(Fox also participated).
I wonder if the space-time continuum was affected by two Old School Warriors(Chaz Wesson and Ax Allwardt) being under the same roof...heh. It was Allwardt's first appearance for SICW as he faced Moondog Rover...he also participated in the battle royal where he and Chaz did briefly cross paths.
I was fully expecting Bobby D to take the fall in the tag match, but instead the Powers/Texan alliance broke down in a major way. The ensuing brawl did some damage to one of the building's tables...and promoter Herb Simmons called an audible by auctioning off the table(including autographs from the wrestlers on the show).
The "wrestle royal" featured almost everyone on the card(excluding Keith and including Giovanni)...good place to settle scores from earlier in the night. Chaz avenged his earlier loss to Dave Vaughn by beating him in the finale, thus sending the fans home happy.
MECW wraps up the month this Saturday. Still deciding on my show choices for May...Dynamo's show was cancelled and the SICW show at Argosy is a bit pricey.
