FCW TV 8/14

We start with a feud recap for our main event...it's episode #150!

Your hosts are Matt Martlaro & S. William Regal. We're told that Women's Champion Aksana Raudoniene has been suspended for refusing to compete a few weeks ago. She has NOT been "stripped" as Regal suggests...HA HA, double entendre! Your ring announcer is Sonia Yung.

Heavyweight Champion Bo Rotundo & Husky Harris vs. Lucky Cannon & Damien Sandow: Quite a way to kick off the program. It's worth noting that Bo and Husky were once FCW Tag Team Champions(when Husky was still known as Duke Rotundo). Bo and Damien set the tone by slugging it out right away...but the heel team works together well enough to lure Husky into the wrong part of town. Harris finally kicks Sandow away and makes the hot tag to his brother...the house is on fire! Bo-Dog is blocked but Rotundo gets an O'Connor Roll...for two, and Bo goes with the momentum of the kickout to spear an incoming Sandow! Lucky swings and misses with a clothesline and Rotundo comes off the ropes with another spear to finish off Cannon!

Kenneth Cameron vs. Brad Maddox: Maddox takes the opportunity to gloat about beating Richie Steamboat in a recent triple threat. Brad jokes about being a "lowly first-generation superstar" and still beating someone with Richie's family ties. However, Maddox spends a bit too much time talking and doesn't notice Steamboat's arrival in the ring...he turns around just in time to eat a superkick! Guess this match isn't happening...

Briley Pierce interviews Leo Kruger...he gets his shot at Bo Rotundo's Heavyweight Title next week.

Derrick Bateman vs. Hunico: This was taped long enough ago that Bateman SEEMS to still be a face...meanwhile, Hunico's rocking the evil goatee. Hmm. Fast-paced exchange to start...Bateman offers a handshake and Hunico slaps the hand away. Uh-oh. Bateman gains an advantage and dropkicks Hunico out of the ring, but the luchador retreats when he sees Bateman setting up for a dive. Back in the ring, Hunico sends Bateman into the turnbuckles with a yank of the tights to gain control. Quick shot of the backstage area sees an interesting group watching the monitor: Conor O'Brian, Tito Colon, Ricardo Rodriguez, Kenneth Cameron, and Raquel Diaz. Hunico continues to show "more aggression" in the matchup...but a slingshot swanton hits the knees and Bateman makes the comeback. IED(corner dropkick) and somersault neckbreaker...get two. Exploder suplex sends Hunico to the floor and the luchador tries to stall on the ropes...Hunico kinda whiffs on the aerial move, oops. Bateman attempts to yank him off the ropes but Hunico falls on top and gets the three-count(couldn't tell if a pull of the tights was involved, but Bateman seems to think so).

Earlier today: President Steve Keirn decided that there should be co-General Managers, Norman Smiley and Maxine Perez(w/ Regal). Keirn has some sort of footage that Regal is very hesitant to watch...

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose for the FCW 15 Title: Ambrose had barely gotten through the door before he started challenging Rollins...now they finally meet. El Big Staredown and feeling-out to start...Ambrose yanks the hair a few times so Seth pulls his hair in retaliation. They trade slaps to the face as tempers flare...Dean goes for the Midnight Special(Air Raid Crash) early but Seth escapes that predicament, sets up for an early Avada Kedavra attempt and Ambrose bails to the floor. Suicide dive...is met by a big forearm from the floor by Ambrose! Dean re-enters the ring and covers for a quick two-count...darn those commercial breaks.

Five minutes are down with no falls exchanged...Ambrose hits a Union Jack neckbreaker(Regal approves) for another near-fall. Seth stops him with a Flatliner into the turnbuckles...then hits a high-speed hanging Ego Trip neckbreaker...for two. Advanced Curbstomp...for two. Lionsault misses but Seth lands on his feet...mid-ring collision caues Dean to fall through the ropes, but he re-enters before Rollins can dive onto him. Dean elbows him off the ropes, but Seth clotheslines Dean to the floor and finally connects with the somersault plancha!

Back into the ring, Seth covers...for two. The two fights on the apron and Rollins nails the springboard clothesline...for two. Avada Kedavra is blocked and Ambrose delivers an atomic facebuster...for 2 1/2! Ten minutes down, five to go...Midnight Special is escaped, they trade waistlocks...jumping enzuigiri by Seth! Cover...for two. Rollins goes to the top but gets cut off...Dean delivers a series of back rakes before they fight for a superplex, causing Rollins to back-rake him right back. Rollins tries for the sunset bomb but Dean fights out of it...he sets himself up on the second turnbuckle but takes another jumping enzuigiri. Top-rope Frankensteiner by Seth...but Dean rolls through into a sunset flip...for 2 1/2! We hit the thirteen-minute mark as Dean tries to use the kickout momentum for a Boston crab, but Seth victory-rolls him...for two. They slug it out in mid-ring and Seth fires up with forearms and a spinkick to the gut...mutual clotheslines and they're both down!

One minute to go...both guys try to collect themselves, then go back to exchanging strikes in the middle of the ring! The match degenerates into a brawl and the time runs out with no falls scored! The fans want five more minutes and I approve...Seth is announced as still being the champion, but Ambrose grabs the medallion and tosses it out of the ring before leaving the arena.

Next week: Bo Rotundo vs. Leo Kruger for the Heavyweight Title. So long from the Sunshine State!
