FCW TV 9/11

President Steve Keirn introduces the show in front of an American flag, acknowleding the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

Your hosts are Matt Martlaro & Byron Saxton...but backstage, a pull-apart brawl is in progress between FCW 15 Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. They have a contract signing for their final encounter later tonight.

Tag Team Champions Donny Marlow & C.J. Parker vs. James Bronson & Erick Rowan, non-title: Bronson and Rowan seem to have Kevin Thorn's old theme music...of course, Byron knows these two very well. The champs show good teamwork in the opening minutes...but Marlow ends up in the wrong part of town and Bronson bashes him off the apron. Martlaro notes that Byron once had an association with Marlow...as I rack my brain, he reminds me that Marlow was one of Abraham Washington's "agents" back in the day. Wow, I bow to Martlaro's attention to obscure detail. Rowan's attempt to counter a sunset flip with a buttdrop hits only canvas and Parker gets the hot tag...the Juice is loose! Chaos erupts and Bronson rakes C.J.'s eyes...the ref is escorting Marlow out of the ring and Rowan/Bronson hit a lariat/STO combo on Parker! The ref turns around just in time to see Bronson make the pin cover on Parker and Byron's boys get the non-title win over the champions!

Richie Steamboat vs. Brad Maddox: This rivalry has been brewing for a few weeks...not surprisingly, Steamboat gets the better of an early chop exchange. He goes for the superkick early but Maddox wisely bails out of the ring. Brad suckers Steamboat to the edge of the ring and wraps the leg around the ring apron, attempting to neutralize the kick. Steamboat rolls through a sunset flip, but Maddox dropkicks the leg and follows with the ever-popular FOOT DDT~! Steamboat small-packages him out of nowhere for two, but Brad stays on the leg. Maddox hangs him from the Tree Of Woe and tries to Stinger-Splash the bad leg, but Steamboat escapes the predicament and Brad wipes out on the turnbuckles, falling all the way out of the ring! Steamboat tries to capitalize with the superkick but the leg gives out...Maddox uses the sunset flip in innovative fashion, sending Steamboat backwards into the turnbuckles. Brad chokes out Richie in the corner and the ref has to back him off...Maddox goes back in for the kill, but eats superkick out of nowhere as Richie had to hang onto the ropes to maintain his balance! That's the ballgame as Steamboat gets the three-count.

Briley Pierce still works here and he interviews Norman Smiley, who is the special guest referee for the Heavyweight Title match tonight. Despite his recent issues with Leo Kruger, he vows to call it right down the middle tonight.

Contract signing! Several wrestlers are in the ring to maintain order...Dean Ambrose is already in the ring as FCW 15 Champion Seth Rollins makes his entrance. General Manager Maxine Perez announces that next week's match will have a THIRTY-minute time limit since their previous fifteen-minute and twenty-minute encounters didn't decide anything(both ending in 0-0 draws). Tensions rise as soon as the ink is on the paper...but the wrestlers in the ring keep it from turning into a physical confrontation.

Queen Aksana Raudoniene vs. Audrey Marie for the Women's Title: Audrey seems to be a face this week...liking Aksana's new music and liking the dark hair. The crown is practically obsolete now that the queen is also the champion. Aksana goes a bit old-school with the rope-assisted abdominal stretch. Audrey hits a spinning heel kick off the second rope out of nowhere, notching a two-count...but Aksana small-packages her for her own near-fall. Audrey attempts the Roundup(Eye Of The Hurricane) but Aksana hangs onto the ropes to escape. The champ picks up the victory with the Devo Drop(spinebuster) shortly afterwards, then dumps Audrey out of the ring and abuses her at ringside.

Bo Rotundo vs. Leo Kruger for the Heavyweight Title, referee Norman Smiley: Bo is seen talking to a distraught Aksana before the match...she tells him that something's wrong with his brother Husky Harris(I'll take Martlaro's word for it), but her facial expression changes once Bo leaves...hmm. The commentators wonder if Bo will be focused on the match, but he seems to be doing okay at first. Kruger cuts him off with a Stungun for an early two-count, taking control from that moment...he focuses on the head and neck to wear him down for the sleeperhold(PSYCHOLOGY~!). Ricardo Rodriguez and Raquel Diaz are spotted watching the match from afar...any more factors we can add to this equation?

Byron plays up the factor that the champion has the most hectic schedule so Bo may be ripe for the pickings. He also says that you CAN'T allow yourself to get distracted by a woman...he uses Steve Austin as one example but I don't know if Shawn Michaels is a good second example(Sensational Sherri, anyone?). Rotundo fights out of a superplex attempt but Kruger blocks the attempted sunset bomb and snaps Bo's throat off the top rope. CRAVATE~! keeps the focus on the head and neck...Martlaro notes that Kruger's Final Destination finisher targets the head and neck as well. How has this guy not been fired yet for actually pushing the product? Bo attempts to fire back but Kruger takes a page out of Maddox's book and uses a basic rollup to send Bo crashing backwards into the turnbuckles. Kruger pummels Bo in the corner and Smiley has to physically pull Kruger away...Leo argues with Norman and that costs him the match as he turns around right into a spear from Rotundo! Bo covers, Smiley counts three, and Bo retains the title!

Leo snaps and grabs Norman in the sleeper after the match...the regular referees hit the ring to restore order but the damage has been done. Wonder if there will be any repercussions for Kruger once again attacking an FCW official...with Maxine in charge and the official being her longtime rival, I highly doubt it.

Next week: Seth Rollins vs. Deam Ambrose for the FCW 15 Title in a thirty-minute matchup...so long from the Sunshine State!
