NWA Anarchy TV #293

Your hosts are Tim E.D. & John Johnson...it's a Hostile Environment clipshow. The commentators get into an argument during the introductory segment...it turns out Tim will be focusing on the ring announcing and Andrew Alexander will be joining Johnson at the broadcast table.

Brodie Ray Chase vs. Bo Newsom: Brodie gets an early small package but only scores a two-count on this occasion. Alexander: "Who brags about their small package?" Newsom controls the action for a bit, but misses a moonsault and THE STRAPS COME DOWN~! A suplex/Stunner(a la R-Truth) gets two. Bo rakes the eyes but falls victim to a double-underhook DDT...Chase nearly wins but the ref spots Bo's foot under the bottom rope and waves it off. Chase argues with the ref and Newsom kicks Chase below the belt out of the referee's field of vision...one SMALL PACKAGE~! later, Newsom scores the victory.

Shadow Jackson vs. Dany Only(w/ Dan Wilson): This is Shadow's return to action after a recent injury that led to his Heavyweight Title loss to Se7en. Johnson discusses the transition between tag team wrestling and one-on-one wrestling with Alexander, a man who has made that transition in the past. We're looking at Only(largely known as a Hate Junkie) and also Shadow(long-time tag team competitor) as examples of those who have made that adjustment. Only targets the previously-injured leg, making an impressive showing against a former singles champion...but Shadow makes the comeback and delivers a Stone Cold Stunner. However, Azrael runs in for the DQ...not sure where Stryknyn is on this night. The double-team beatdown ensues...and Shadow's former partner Nemesis enters with a smug look on his face. Azrael and Only decide to hold up Shadow for Nemesis...but Nemesis instead decks Azrael and Only! Nemesis extends his hand to Shadow...and the reunited Urban Assault Squad clears the ring! They shake hands once again after the match...ladies and gentlemen, we have a face turn!

Youth Gone Wild(Anthony Henry & Dustin Knight) vs. Rave Approved(Mike Posey & Corey Hollis) for the Tag Team Titles: YAY WRESTLING~! The champs take control with Henry locking Hollis in a Texas Cloverleaf while Knight catches Posey in a Cripple Crossface...then they follow up with consecutive dives when the heels seek refuge on the floor. Posey cuts off Knight's top-rope move, allowing Hollis to deliver a jumping enzuigiri and then a modified gutbuster onto the top turnbuckle. The Rave Approved duo keeps Knight on their side of the ring...Knight attempts to cut off an Alabama Jam attempt from Posey, but Posey knocks him back down to the mat and hits the move...for 2 1/2. Knight finally kicks Posey away and makes the hot tag to Henry...the house is on fire! YGW hit a double-team hanging neckbreaker but Henry somehow only gets a two-count on Posey. The Rave Approved members go for the kill with Knight out of commission but can't keep Henry down. Hollis hits a gutwrench backcracker(Frosty Hangover?) on Knight and they look to finish off Henry, but YGW hit the stereo enzuigiris in the corner and follow up with the double-team Go 2 Sleep, allowing Henry to pin Posey for the win. The champs just barely hang onto the belts!

Shaun Tempers(w/ Bo Newsom) vs. Young Lions' Champion Jacob Ashworth for the NWA North American Title: YAY WRESTLING~! to start this battle of champions. Tempers has the experience advantage and I don't think the fans really buy Ashworth as a threat to Shaun's title. Bo gets in a cheapshot or two behind the referee's back, as you might expect. Tempers blocks a backslide attempt but Ashworth still gets a rollup for a two-count. Alexander is good at providing background as he got started around the same time as Tempers and Ace Rockwell. Tempers cuts off an Ashworth rally with a bridging exploder suplex...for two. Tempers gets to the ropes to block an Ashes-To-Ashes attempt, then reverses into a cobra clutch attempt only for Ashworth to counter out of that in an O'Connor Roll...for two. Ashworth hits a Wasteland and goes straight into a La Majistral cradle...for two. Superplex is set up but Tempers fights out of it...Ashworth blocks a tornado DDT attempt and gets a small package, but Bo reaches into the ring and pushes the move over so Tempers gets the three-count! Tempers retains his title, but that's not enough as he locks Ashworth in the cobra clutch after the match while Newsom trash-talks him...the Young Lions' Champion is left laying as we fade out.
