Saturday MECW Results From Wood River, IL + Other Show Results

Mr. K and Heavyweight Champion Bailey Mannix kicked off the show...Mannix accepted Great Plans Champion Eric Allen's challenge for a 60-Minute Ironman Match at the anniversary show on 11/13, but Mr. K ordered a no-contact rule between the two for the night. With Mannix having no plans for the night, he received an impromptu challenge by Brandon Espinosa(making his MECW debut).

Bailey Mannix d. Brandon Espinosa to retain the Heavyweight Title; Eric Allen argued with Mannix while Leon Alexander distracted the referee, but Allen's cheapshot attempt hit Espinosa by accident and Bailey finished off Espy with the Mannix Depression(Death Valley Driver).

Buddy Roberts Jr.(w/ Evan Money) d. Tag Team Champion Sarin Sinn(w/ Attorney Vern); Justin Reno and Miranda attempted to run interference but it wasn't enough to turn the tide as Roberts got the win with an elbowdrop off the second turnbuckle. Roberts earned a future shot at the Tag Team Titles held by Sinn & Mike Anthony with his victory.

Eric Allen announced that Barry Ryte was not there for his scheduled match, but Mr. K had a substitute opponent...

Eric Allen(w/ Leon Alexander) d. Ace Hawkins to retain the Great Plains Title; Hawkins had control of the match when Mannix inexplicably shoved him off the top rope(Leon had the referee's attention), then gave him a running knee to the face. That allowed Allen to make the cover for the three-count...Mr. K was tired of the two getting involved in each other's matches and Hawkins was angry about Mannix's interference, so Mr. K ordered a tag match for later in the night: Mannix & Allen vs. Espinosa & Hawkins.

Tag Team Champion Sarin Sinn, Count Kharfu, & Mizfitt Manners(w/ Miranda) d. Independent Champion Shawn Santel, Mauler McDarby, & Aiden Young; they set up a whole bunch of stipulations before the match that I didn't quite catch, but I believe McDarby challenged Mizfitt to a bullrope match in the near future. The finish saw Sinn interfere with Santel's attempt at a swandive headbutt, allowing Kharfu to finish him with a hanging backcracker.

Justin Reno(w/ Miranda) d. Dave Osborne with a swinging fisherman buster.

Heavyweight Champion Bailey Mannix & Great Plains Champion Eric Allen(w/ Leon Alexander) d. Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins; Espy and Hawkins seemed to work well as a team for most of the match, but when Hawkins went to tag Espinosa at one point, Espy simply blasted him with a knockout punch. Ace was easy prey for a TKO onto the knee by Allen followed by a big kneedrop from Mannix for the victory.

After the match, Mannix & Allen agreed to the terms for their Ironman Match: Mannix challenged Allen to put his own belt on the line in the match(presumably why he ensured that Allen would retain it earlier in the night). Allen said he would retire if he lost and Bailey upped the ante by saying HE would retire if HE lost. The two shook hands to seal the deal and, with the no-contact rule presumably expiring, Mannix pulled Allen into the Mannix Depression to close the show.
