NWA Anarchy TV #309

NWA Champion Adam Pearce is still coming to Anarchy.

Your hosts are Tim E.D. & John Johnson.

Skirra Corvus vs. Tommy Daniels vs. C.B. Gibson vs. Jordan O'Neal(joined in progress): This match is chaotic from the moment we join the action...Corvus would seem to be the favorite, at least from my perspective. Newcomer O'Neal has an impressive showing...we get the obligatory Tower Of Doom spot. Johnson senses more aggression out of Daniels, for reference. Dissension surfaces between partners Daniels and Gibson as Daniels has O'Neal pinned after a fisherman buster but Gibson pulls him off the cover...only one man can win! The partners argue, leaving Corvus to take advantage with a frog splash on O'Neal for the three-count! This earns Corvus a future shot at Young Lions' Champion B(r)o Newsom...

Azrael(w/ Dan Wilson) vs. Donnie Steamboat for the Heavyweight Title: This was scheduled to be a non-title affair, but The Reverend says Azrael doesn't hide behind his championship status and puts the belt on the line. Steamboat surprises Azrael on a few occasions, but KICK WHAM TED BUNDY ends it out of nowhere. The Rev feels like Azrael deserves the shot at NWA World Champion Adam Pearce more than anyone else. This brings out NWA North American Champion Shaun Tempers(who has been aligned with Azrael and Wilson in the past). Tempers states his case, saying he's the North American Champion while Azrael is a fine "local talent"...ooh. The Rev calls out promoter Franklin Dove to make the final decision...then gets a little too fired up for his own good and shoves the promoter down! This brings out Brodie Ray Chase...he's apparently the new general manager/"enforcer" of the company. Brodie makes the ruling: Pearce vs. Azrael vs. Tempers in a three-way dance for the NWA World Title! Tempers is not happy about this turn of events...Chase notes that the match is NWA World Champion vs. NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion vs. NWA North American Champion regardless of who the titleholders are. On to other business...he's sick of The Rev overstepping his bounds by putting his hands on the owner and suspends him indefinitely! Wilson shoves Chase who shoves back, then warns Azrael to not retaliate or he'll lose the title shot he just got...

Armed & Dangerous(Lane Vasser & Johnny Dangerous) vs. The Ambassadors(Jacoby Boykins & Chris Mayne)(w/ John Johnson): Winners get a shot at Tag Team Champions Slim J & Bryan Cassanova at Seasons' Beatings. Tim E.D. is joined at the broadcast booth by ring announcer Brett Wolverton as Johnson is at ringside. Dangerous gets in some trouble against Mayne but dueling cross-bodyblocks leave both men down. Johnson lures Vasser away from his corner just as Dangerous goes for the tag...and Boykins catches Dangerous in a torture-rack neckbreaker for a near-fall. Dangerous dropkicks Mayne away and finally tags in Vasser...the house is on fire! Boykins gets involved but Mayne high-knees his partners by mistake, allowing Vasser to finish Mayne with the Blu-Ray(fireman's-carry into a sideways spinebuster)...see, it's better than a DVD. The champs enter the ring to congratulate their future opponents(both are trainees of Slim J)...but tensions rise between Cassanova and Vasser for a moment.

Shaun Tempers vs. Billy Buck for the NWA North American Title: Buck scored a couple of non-title wins over Tempers in recent months, setting up this match. Johnson(back at the broadcast booth) has nooooo interest in discussing the Ambassadors' match. Buck looks good early but Tempers dumps on the turnbuckles to halt his momentum. Tempers takes out the leg and it pays off later in the match as Buck can't properly execute his Buck Wild superkick. Tempers gets a spinning toehold but Buck kicks him into the turnbuckles and gets a close two-count with a rollup...but Tempers dropkicks the knee after that. Buck tries to rally but can't hit the Samoan Drop because of the bad leg. Tempers immediately gets a half-crab and Buck goes for the ropes, only to be caught in a modified STF after that...Buck does finally reach the bottom rope. Tempers argues with the ref, then runs right into Buck's Samoan Drop after that...both Buck can't make the cover because of the leg damage. Superkick is blocked and Tempers spins Buck around...right into Buck hitting a Diamond Cutter/RKO! Cover...for 2 1/2! Tempers stops him with a jawbreaker and goes for the Rude Awakening but Buck blocks, only for Tempers to kick him in the leg. Tempers goes for the cobra clutch and Buck keeps backing him into the turnbuckles to fight out...then finally nails the superkick! Cover...one...two...Bo Newsom pulls the referee out for the DQ! Aww...

Buck is furious but can't do much about it due to his leg injury...and he falls victim to a double-team assault from Tempers & Newsom. Tempers delivers the Rude Awakening for fun as the champion stands tall despite not winning the match...Anthony Henry runs in for the save but Buck is out of commission and it's another two-on-one situation. Henry takes a Rude Awakening from Tempers as well...then Newsom removes his belt to whip Henry while Tempers holds him down! Buck finally re-enters with a chair to run off the heels...just in the nick of too late.
