NXT, XPlosion, Superstars, Impact

WWE NXT5.com

Your hosts are Matt Striker(doubling as the emcee) & S. William Regal. Hey, they finally updated the intro!

Striker kicks off the show...next week is episode #100 in Las Vegas and the Johnny Curtis/Maxine Perez wedding will take place there. Speaking of which, Striker brings out former wedding planner and NXT3 mentor Alicia Fox. It doesn't take long before Alicia's former protege Maxine makes her entrance...the war of words escalates in a hurry and Fox shoves her down. CATFIIIIIGHT~!

Alicia Fox vs. Maxine Perez: Alicia gets too fancy and Maxine makes her pay for it. Regal notes that he was once a mentor to some guy named Triple H and that didn't end well...heh. Maxine nicely leapfrogs out of the corner into a modified sleeper, then tries an O'Connor Roll...only for Alicia to roll through for the flash pin.

Trent Barreta vs. Tyler Reks(w/ Curt Hawkins): Yoshi Tatsu is absent this week which may be a problem with Hawkins at ringside. Trent goes to the top rope early but Reks rolls out of the ring to regroup...so Barreta takes out both Reks & Hawkins with a huge somersault plancha! Trent sends Tyler back into the ring...but IT'S THE BIG FOOT stops him in his tracks. Reks keeps him down on the mat...Barreta tries to return fire but misses the Whisper In The Wind. Burning Hammer is attempted, but Trent escapes the setup and gets the surprise pin with a backslide! Hawkins wastes no time in hitting the ring to attack Barreta from behind, kicking off a two-on-one assault...but Yoshi finally arrives to make the save! Yoshi levels Curt with a spinning heel kick, then gives Reks similar treatment with the big roundhouse kick!

Justin Gabriel and Derrick Bateman hang out backstage...Gabriel clues him in on the e-mail he supposedly sent to Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long. Bateman says he didn't send that, so Gabriel asks if he left his phone at the bar or someone hacked his account. Gabriel also suggests that 1-2-3-4 isn't a good password...ha ha. Bateman: "CURTIIIIIS!"

Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Tyson Kidd & J.T.G.: SIVA TAU~! J.T.G. has issues with the Usos despite the fact that the object of their differences(Tamina Snuka) is no longer around. Kidd and J.T.G. are experienced tag team competitors with other partners...of course, Jimmy & Jey have been partners for their entire lives. Kidd & J. isolate Jey for a little while but Jimmy gets a hot tag and it's downhill from there. J.T.G. takes a Samoan Drop and Umaga Smash but Kidd breaks up Jimmy's pin attempt. Kidd nails Jey with a suicide dive but Jey incredibly catches it for a modified Samoan Drop into the ringside barricade! J. tries a leap from the second rope but eats superkick coming down...that's enough for Jimmy to score the three-count.

Backstage, Maxine gripes to Aksana Raudoniene but Bateman interrupts. Derrick wants to tell Maxine about the e-mail controversy, but predictably she's not listening...

Alex Riley vs. Johnny Curtis(w/ Maxine Perez): Riley appears to have momentum, but a brief distraction by Maxine is enough opening for Curtis to fire back. KICK WHAM FALCON ARROW seals the deal as Curtis picks up a big win...but Bateman makes an appearance, ensuring this situation will end next week...

Enter Darren Young...followed shortly by Titus O'Neil. Cue the war of words...but Young steps over the line when he insults O'Neil's family and children. Young keeps pushing that button until Titus finally attacks him...referees try to separate the two with the expected success. Striker announces O'Neil vs. Young next week in a no-DQ match...that'll work.

TNA XPlosion

Your hosts are Jeremy Borash & Taz.

Robbie Eckos(w/ Robbie Terry) vs. Shannon Moore for the T.V. Title: Borash plays it up as a battle of unorthodox hairstyles as well as a battle for the Television Championship. Moore thinks about a suicide dive but Robbie T stands in the way, allowing Robbie E to deliver a cheapshot over his bouncer's shoulder. Borash notes that Moore has been wrestling for *19* years...he got an early start. Eckos keeps his opponent grounded for several minutes, but The Prince Of Punk fires back with a wheelbarrow bulldog for a two-count. Moore delivers a low-altitude version of a 619 to SWEEP THE LEG~!, then delivers a slingshot swanton for another near-fall. Terry tosses the belt in the ring, then punches out Moore while the referee is confiscating the belt from the champion. That's all it takes for Robbie E to simply cover for the pin to retain his title...

WWE Superstars.com

Your hosts are Josh Mathews, Matt Striker, & Scott Stanford.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Wade Barrett: Yoshi starts fast but goes to the second rope too early and Wade yanks him down by the leg. Tatsu fights back with his trademark kicks but Barrett overpowers him, finishing in short order with the Winds^H^H^HCyclone Of Change(Bossman Slam).

Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne vs. Michael McGillicutty: Stanford notes the history between the two as Bourne and Kofi Kingston won the belts from McGillicutty and David Otunga. Fine matchup between these two, as you might expect. MM grabs the leg to keep Bourne from climbing the ropes, then bashes him to the floor and knocks him off the apron with a low-altitude spear. McGillicutty delivers a sweet dropkick...guess that runs in the family. Bourne shows off his own fancy footwork, then nails the flying double-knee from the top rope...for two. MM turns it around and snaps off a Saito Suplex...for two. MM tries to throw Evan out of the ring but Evan hangs onto the ropes, then knocks him down with a big roundhouse kick. That puts him in perfect(no pun intended) position for the shooting star press...and it's delivered as advertised, giving Bourne the victory.

Kelly K vs. Brie Bella(w/ Nikki): Kelly won the Women's Title from Brie last year...plus the Bellas stole a win from Kelly and Eve Torres not too long ago. CATFIIIIIGHT~! Kelly knocks Nikki off the apron but Brie executes a unique arm takedown...then Nikki gets in a cheapshot behind the referee's back. Kelly rallies and hits the handspring elbow, but the referee backs Kelly off and Nikki trades places with her sister. Nikki yanks Kelly into the middle turnbuckle face-first, then gets the Flair Pin with feet on the ropes for the cheap victory.

TNA Impact

Your hosts are Mike Tenay & Taz.

Tag Team Champions Matt Morgan & Tommy "Crimson" Mercer d. T.V. Champion Robbie Eckos & Robbie Terry when Morgan pinned Eckos after the double chokeslam. Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus attacked the champs after the match.

O.D.B.(w/ Eric Young) d. Winter Lea(w/ Angelina Love) with the BAM(TKO).

James Storm d. Kurt Angle after a Codebreaker followed by the Last Call superkick to earn a future Heavyweight Title shot.

Bobby Roode fought Jeff Hardy to a no-contest to retain the Heavyweight Title; Sting had ruled that if Roode got himself intentionally disqualified, the belt would change hands. Hardy appeared to have the match won after the third Twist Of Fate of the match and the swanton bomb, but Bully Ray pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the count. Hardy took out Ray with a plancha, but the match had no official decision...
