WWE NXT5.com
Your hosts are Josh Mathews and...S. William Regal!
Your emcee is Matt Striker who interviews Michael McGillicutty(runner-up of NXT2). MM promptly trashes the show and hypes his history with the Nexus(which is like Horace Boulder hyping his NWO membership) as well as his Tag Team Title reign with David Otunga. This brings out another NXT2 alumnus, Alex Riley...he even dusted off his letter jacket! Sounds like a match to me...and a shove by McGillicutty triggers an impromptu brawl!
Alex Riley vs. Michael McGillicutty: Riley quickly clotheslines MM to the floor and keeps up the pressure, but whiffs on a dropkick from the floor and MM spears him off the apron. Regal mentions McGillicutty's family history, something that doesn't happen often enough. Riley finally stops MM's offensive with an STO and begins the comeback, but MM counters an elevated DDT attempt into a Saito suplex(thank you William)...for two. McGillicutty goes to the top rope but Riley hits the ropes to stop him, then delivers a huge overhead superplex...for two. Final Score-no-Headturner-no-Final Score and Riley finally picks up the three-count.
Derrick Bateman gets some consolation from Kaitlyn Bonin but Johnny Curtis & Maxine Perez interrupt their conversation. Curtis gives Kaitlyn a look on the way out...hmm.
Kaitlyn Bonin vs. Maxine Perez: Liking Kaitlyn's new ring attire. She uses her power to get an early advantage, but Maxine counters a slam attempt into a hanging dragon clutch for the sudden tapout! That was quick.
Backstage, Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins interrupt Yoshi Tatsu & Trent Barreta's video gaming...only for Yoshi to pull the old "superglue the controller to the opponent's hands" trick. Waitaminute...
Trent Barreta(w/ Yoshi Tatsu) vs. Curt Hawkins(w/ Tyler Reks): Regal correctly identifies Hawkins' Norman Smiley-style swinging bodyslam, of course. Fine matchup between these two rivals...meanwhile, Regal's back to rare form on commentary. Dudebuster DDT is blocked and Hawkins SWEEPS THE LEG~! only to be kicked back to the floor. Trent follows up with a huge somersault plancha...nicely done, though Regal debates the merits of high-risk maneuvers. A brief distraction by Reks allows Hawkins to deliver a cheapshot, but Trent flips out of a back suplex attempt and nails the Dudebuster DDT on the second try for the pin!
Derrick Bateman vs. Darren Young: After Bateman's arrival on NXT5, these two were briefly aligned against Titus O'Neil but Bateman's back to the light side of the Force. The match starts off fast, but Young puts a stop to that with a painful-looking atomic drop variant onto the edge of the ring. Derrick retaliates by throwing Young shoulder-first into the ringpost, then follows him out with the dropkick off the apron. Bateman looks to finish with a flippy neckbreaker...for two. Enter Curtis & Maxine...Maxine announces that they're getting married in Las Vegas in two weeks, oh boy. The distraction is enough of an opening for Young to catch Bateman in the Gut Check...that's the ballgame.
TNA XPlosion
Your hosts are Jeremy Borash & Taz.
Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels, Maximum Impact Tournament Finals: This is a pretty big match for the B show. Both are multi-time titleholders though only Joe has been TNA Heavyweight Champion. Borash brings up their past in west-coast independents to provide some background. Daniels beat Eric Young and Brother Devon to reach this point while Joe defeated Douglas Williams and Frankie Kazarian. Daniels works a headlock to start, but Joe powers his way into an advantage with his striking ability. Daniels low-bridges Joe out of the ring to shift the momentum, keeping Joe down on the mat.
Borash speculates that Daniels is hungrier since he hasn't been Heavyweight Champion...Daniels nicely counters Joe's trademark uranagi out of the corner into an armdrag, but he runs into an overhead suplex right after that. Joe starts El Big Comeback...IT'S THE BIG FOOT and senton...for two. Powerslam...for two. Daniels fires back with a jawbreaker and levels him with a low-altitude lariat from behind...for two. Joe strikes back but Daniels gives as good as he gets, gaining the edge with a jumping enzuigiri...but the uranagi out of the corner works on the second try. Muscle buster is set up...and executed for the victory! Joe wins the tournament and earns a future Heavyweight Title shot!

Your hosts are Josh Mathews, Scott Stanford, & Matt Striker.
Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne(w/ Kofi Kingston) vs. Epico Colon(w/ Primo & Rosa Mendes): This is another chapter in the ongoing rivalry between Air Boom and Those Guys With Rosa. Bourne nails a rana and dropkick, then breaks up a Colon cousin huddle with a baseball slide. Back in the ring, Epico cuts off Evan's momentum by dumping him on the top rope in painful fashion. Bourne knees his way out of a suplex but takes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before Epico returns the favor for that earlier baseball slide. Epico suplexes him into oblivion but can't keep him down...so he goes to a Gory Special only for Bourne to counter into a sunset flip...for two. Evan unleashes his kick arsenal, then nails the double-knee off the top...for two. Rosa distracts from the apron and Epico rolls up Bourne for two, countered by Bourne for two. Spinkick by Bourne finds the mark...shooting star press? Primo distracts him from the task but Kofi dives off the apron to stop that. Epico tries to attack but Bourne kicks him from the apron, then goes to the top to nail the shooting star press! 1-2-3.
Mason Ryan vs. J.T.G.: Tamina Snuka is no longer in J.T.G.'s corner...I guess her face turn on Smackdown ended that relationship. This doesn't look to end well for J., but he kicks out the leg and delivers a huge dropkick off the second rope. The match is far more competitive than I would have expected as J.T.G. works on the leg, but the power advantage makes the difference as Ryan wins with the full nelson slam.
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Tyson Kidd: These two know each other well, I'll leave it at that. YAY WRESTLING~! Yoshi clotheslines Kidd out of the ring but Kidd jumps back to the apron to kick away a potential suicide dive. Kidd slows things down with a dragon sleeper, but Yoshi nicely counters into his own before catapulting Tyson into the turnbuckles. Cue the educated feet...Yoshi goes topside, but Kidd ducks the incoming spinning heel kick! Kidd goes to the apron for a springboard Merosault...nothing but mat! Yoshi unloads with the big roundhouse kick and that's enough for the win!
Ezekiel Jackson vs. Jinder Mahal: Odd choice for the main event slot, but okay. The commentators allude to Jackson's past with the Corre without mentioning the group's name. Zeke dominates but Mahal gets in a cheapshot before delivering a pair of neckbreakers. The fans chant "USA" for a match between a Guyanan and an Indian. Striker does note the focus on the neck to wear Jackson down for the camel clutch...but Ezekiel backs him into the corner to break up a chinlock. Ezekiel whips him from pillar to post before pummeling Mahal in the corner...then delivering his tradmark series of bodyslams. Torture rack? No, Mahal breaks that up with a shot to the neck before throwing him shoulder-first into the ringpost. Camel clutch is applied...and Jackson taps out! I'd have to call that an upset...
