WWE NXT5.com

Your hosts are Josh Mathews & Matt Striker...Striker kicks off the show by hyping the upcoming 100th episode of the series. He mentions the fact that World Champion Daniel Bryan got his start on this show and then brings out alumnus Justin Gabriel...before Gabriel can say much, we're interrupted by fellow NXT1 graduate Heath Slater. The war of words escalates until Striker turns it into a match...

Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater: These guys are former three-time Tag Team Champions together as members of the Nexus, but the two have clashed one-on-one on a few occasions prior to this. Striker keeps mentioning the history of the show, even bringing up Jamie Keyes and Eli Cottonwood...wow. We get a Royal Rumble plug just as Gabriel clotheslines Slater to the floor, then nails the no-hands somersault plancha. Gabriel hits the STO in the ring but Heath swats him off the ropes to prevent a Fall From Grace(450 Splash)...causing a slightly more awkward fall. Heath takes over but nearly gets caught by surprise with a small package...for two. Gabriel finally rallies with the educated feet, then a corner forearm and springboard cross-body...for two. South African legsweep allows Gabriel to go topside again...but Heath cuts him off with a pop-up top-rope powerslam! Cover...for 2 1/2! The two slug it out from their knees with Justin getting the upper hand...he tilt-a-whirls into an Eye Of The Hurricane and follows up with a springboard moonsault...for two! Heath cuts him off with a spinebuster...for two. Slater sets up a superplex...I don't see this ending well...and Gabriel snaps his throat off the top rope. SPRINGBOARD Fall From Grace hits and that gets the three-count! Haven't seen that variation of the move out of Gabriel before...

Derrick Bateman confronts Maxine Perez backstage...Maxine has slightly different memories of their romantic weekends. The two argue, then Derrick kisses her...she seems to get into it but then slaps him before storming away. Meanwhile, Johnny Curtis watches from afar...

Percy Watson vs. Tyson Kidd: This is a rematch from last week...will the result be different? Darren Young has joined the broadcast team...lucky us. A brief distraction by Young allows Kidd to take over...Striker brings up NXT1 in reference to Young, dropping Skip Sheffield's name for the first time on TV in a while...hmm. Watson gets off a jumping enzuigiri to cue El Big Comeback...he hits the OH YEAH~! Showtime Splash but only gets two. Young leaves his seat to cause another nuisance, occupying Percy long enough for Kidd to recover. KICK WHAM SWINGING FISHERMAN BUSTER and Tyson gets the win...then Young adds the exclamation point with the Gut Check(Strongbuster) on his rival Titus O'Neil's tag partner.

Maxine crosses paths with Aksana Raudoniene backstage...Aksana's been snooping in General Manager Theodore Long's messages and found an interesting e-mail from Derrick Bateman. According to Aksana, Derrick wants to be on Smackdown but wants to leave Maxine behind...heh.

Derrick Bateman vs. Johnny Curtis: It doesn't take long for tempers to flare...definitely prefer Bateman as a face. That dropkick off the apron can't do either guy any favors. Curtis backs off to lure Bateman into a cheapshot through the ropes, then follows up with a clothesline off the top...for two. Enter Maxine Perez, drawing Curtis' attention...meanwhile, CRAVATE~! Josh wants to get Maxine on commentary to answer some questions, but she has no interest in that. Bateman fights back...IED(corner dropkick) and flippy neckbreaker...cover for two. Curtis cuts him off with a discus lariat...for two. Falcon Arrow is escaped and Bateman throws Curtis into the turnbuckles, then gets the rollup for the flash pin! Bateman turns his attention to Maxine and she enters the ring...only to walk past him and leave. This brings Curtis back out...she slaps him, but then kisses him and grabs his hand to leave with him. Okay, what just happened there?
